Images 34 - Best of British Illustrations
Hartwig's illustartion of 'Maritime Greenwich' in retro colours has been selected by a panel of 9 judges to appear in the prestigious
Association of Illustrators 'Best of British Illustrations' year book - Images 34 - to be published in July 2010!
The illustration, which the artist named "Zero Longitude" shows a view from the south looking at Greenwich town centre, the Royal Naval College, the Maritime Museum & the Observatory with the O2 and the Isle of Dogs in the background. The addition of the planes landing and taking off from city airport and the distinctive "Zero Longitude Line" enhance the image and make it even more fun and quirky to look at...
Images 34 will be published in July 2010 and as in previous years majority of the copies would be distributed to commissioners of illustrations in the UK and abroad. An exhibition of all the images appearing in the book will tour the UK in the latter part of 2010!
